Positive Behaviour Policy-
Each week a child will be selected to be our ‘WVA Super Hero’ they will be presented with a trophy, that recognises their excellent effort and or achievement during that session. That trophy can be kept for one week and is required to be brought back for the following session.
As we put enjoyment at the heart of our clubs, we have implemented a system that ensures high standards of behaviour are upheld to provide a safe and calm learning environment for all attendees. Our behaviour expectations will be outlined to all children at the first week’s session. If the situation arises where our clear and fair behaviour expectations are not being met on a regular basis, then we implement the following:
1) Verbal warning- A chat with parent/guardian about how the groups learning experience is being affected by this behaviour, and to reiterate our simple behaviour expectations.
2) 1 week cooling off period- If the stated behaviour verbalised to both parent and child persists after the verbal warning then the individual/individuals will be asked to miss the following session.
3) Exclusion from course- After returning from the 1-week break, if a participant’s behaviour was again to have a detrimental effect to others on the course through not following expectations, they will be asked not to return for the rest of that half term. A refund will be given for the remaining weeks.
