🎶 Wharfe Valley Active Ballet Dance After School Club (Whole School) 💃🕺
Our brand-new Ballet Dance Club is full of classic, calm and elegant movements — perfect for children in Years 1 to 6 who love to move and express themselves.
Led by a qualified, child-friendly instructor, each session blends easy-to-follow dance routines with upbeat music from around the world. Children will build confidence, coordination, and fitness while enjoying a party atmosphere that celebrates creativity and teamwork.
Whether your child is a born performer or just loves to bounce to the beat, Wharfe Valley active Zumba is designed to be inclusive, engaging, and full of smiles. No dance experience needed—just a willingness to have fun!
Positive Behaviour Policy-
Each programme a child will be selected to be our ‘Dance Superstar’ they will be presented with a prize, that recognises their excellent effort and or achievement during that set of sessions.
As we put enjoyment at the heart of our clubs, we have implemented a system that ensures high standards of behaviour are upheld to provide a safe and calm learning environment for all attendees. Our behaviour expectations will be outlined to all children at the first week’s session. If the situation arises where our clear and fair behaviour expectations are not being met on a regular basis, then we implement the following:
1) Verbal warning- A chat with parent/guardian about how the groups learning experience is being affected by this behaviour, and to reiterate our simple behaviour expectations.
2) 1 week cooling off period- If the stated behaviour verbalised to both parent and child persists after the verbal warning then the individual/individuals will be asked to miss the following session.
3) Exclusion from course- After returning from the 1-week break, if a participants behaviour was again to have a detrimental effect to others on the course through not following expectations, they will be asked not to return for the rest of that half term. A refund will be given for the remaining weeks.
